Pushpin

Thrilled to have been the lead digital and UX designer on the relaunch of Pushpininc.com, the gallery of the legendary designer and artist, Seymour Chwast. The homepage was designed from a hand-drawn illustration Seymour created. The challenge was in making the wonderful quality of his illustration work digitally.

The newly updated Pushpin Gallery features an expanded range of giclée and limited edition prints, original illustrations, and one-of-a-kind sketches by Seymour Chwast—all available for purchase. Appealing to historians, design students, and collectors alike, the gallery includes back issues of Pushpin publications (Push Pin GraphicThe NoseDesign & Style), posters, and rare printed items like “The Hat,” a 24-page collection of vibrant woodcuts, hand-pulled on a Vandercook No. 4, and published by Tideline Press in 2004. Prints of “Dante’s Inferno,” designed by Chwast in 1967, and featured prominently on set during the final season of AMC’s “Mad Men,” are also available in the online shop.

The site was launched on the same day as the Seymour Chwast Archive, designed by Frank LaRocca and Bryn Smith. I helped with some of the image research on the Archive and worked on the launch of the site via social media. It was wonderful to be part of the team that launched both sites successfully on one day! Event Press Release
